As a past IB student, it’s hard to overlook the struggle that current students must be incurring in this pandemic.
Now down the line as a university student, Vaid Tutoring has given me the opportunity at an internship where I can look to aid current IB students and close the opportunity gap they face as a result of current events.
Four months into my internship, I would like to tell you about my experience with Vaid Tutoring.
Being one of the younger individuals of the team, it’s natural that I was delegated largely media related projects and tasks.
These tasks included:
Beyond that, I also took a role in scouting for new team members as well as advertising upcoming tutor availabilities and courses. This included:
The bulk of the tasks done were rewardingly challenging and relatively new to me. Over time, I’ve felt increasing comfortable with the Vaid Tutoring team who have allowed me to learn and nurture an entirely new set of skills.
With that being said, considering I’m a full-time university student, I was given substantial time flexibility and understanding towards my personal life.
This meant I was able to maintain my university and personal life while also contributing to the team where need be.
Overall, my experience at Vaid Tutoring has been entirely positive so far. The company is keen to give exposure to young minds to the world of work and have a Work Experience Programme for IB High School students.
IB DP students should check it out – might be something good to do over summer!
